The TeenFest Teen Council (TFTC) is the youth division of TeenFest Foundation. The Teen Council serves a vital role in planning the annual TeenFest(ival) public health education event.
All TFTC activities take place under the direction and guidance of the collaborative group of professionals that make up the TeenFest Foundation. These activities provide 30 contact hours for full student participation (Teen Council meetings - 12 hours, Teen Festival auditions -10 hours, Teen Festival event – 8 hours). Activities include:
Help maintain the TeenFest.org website and Face Book Page
Develop and deliver peer health education programming to teens and parents.
Research, write and edit articles for the Teen Council Newsletter.
Shoot video and photos relevant to current events and teen issues to discuss and document for the TeenFest website.
Attend workshops to learn career/health/life skills
Participate in TeenFest TV
