TeenFest Foundation

NEW - TeenFest 2K12! - Saturday, April 14, 2012 @ NC Museum of History in downtown Raleigh.

TeenFest Foundation is a nonprofit organization that works to develop and nurture teens to become immediate peer health educators and leaders in their natural environments, specifically on the topics of substance abuse prevention and violence reduction.  We encourage teens to use their own creative voices to promote safe and drug-free communities.   Our main initiatives are:

TeenFest Teen Council (TFTC) - the youth division of TeenFest Foundation that helps plan and implement various community projects

TeenFest(ival) - an annual, free, public health education event that features workshops and a talent showcase.  The workshops focus on topics relevant to the TeenFest theme -- substance abuse prevention and violence reduction.  The talent showcase continues the message through featured original acts that have an anti-substance or anti-violence theme. Youth ages 14-19 compete for $1,750 in prize money.  TeenFest is held in Spring of each year (since 2005).

TeenFest TV - teens and adults discussing topics relevant to teen behaviors.  These segments feature TeenFest Teen Council members and topic experts having open and honest conversation about teen issues, and offering practical suggestions on how to meet challenges.

TeenFest Radio - scroll down the list on the right and click a song to listen to original works by our TeenFest Teen Council members!

TeenFest Performance Troupe (TFPT) - TeenFest winners perform throughout North Carolina and nearby states,  using their own creative voices to help spread the drug-free and violence prevention messages. TFPT consists of a Step Team, a Hip Hop group and a Spoken Word artist.
